Get Your Website on Google with Search Console

What it's for

Google Search Console is Google's free tool for site owners. It lets you submit your site to Google, check that it is properly taken into account, and track its ranking: how many times your site appears in results, on which keywords, and how many people click.

This integration places no cookie on your site: it is simply a small invisible tag that proves to Google that the site is really yours.

The steps

  • Open Google Search Console and sign in with your Google account.
  • Add a "URL prefix" property and paste the address of your Flopix site.
  • Choose the "HTML tag" verification method: Google shows you a code.
  • Copy that code and paste it into Flopix, on the "Google ranking" card of your integrations.
  • Go back to Google and click "Verify".

What next?

Once verified, remember to submit your sitemap in Search Console: Flopix generates it automatically for you at your-site/sitemap.xml. Google will then take a few days to crawl your site and surface the first statistics.

Good to know

Organic ranking takes time: do not worry if the numbers stay at zero for the first few days. The key thing is that your site is submitted and crawled by Google.
