Deleting Your Data
Last updated: Oct 13, 2026
This page explains how to obtain the deletion of your Flopix account and the personal data attached to it. It applies to all accounts, whether you signed up with an email address, with Google, with Facebook or with Apple.
1. From your account, immediately
This is the fastest route, and it requires no action on our part.
- Log in, then open the Settings.
- In the "Delete my account" area, start the request.
- A confirmation code is sent to you by email: enter it to confirm.
The deletion is then immediate and permanent. This double check exists so that a deletion cannot be triggered by mistake, nor by someone who gains access to your session.
An ongoing subscription blocks deletion. We do not delete an account whose subscription keeps charging: you would be billed for a service you no longer have access to. First cancel your subscriptions from your dashboard, deletion then becomes possible. Cancellation remains available at any time and free of charge.
2. If you no longer have access to your account
Write to us via the contact form, from the email address associated with the account, stating that this is a deletion request.
We acknowledge receipt within 24 to 48 business hours and carry out the erasure within 30 days at most, the maximum period provided by Article 12.3 of the GDPR. If we are unable to establish that the request indeed comes from the account holder, we may ask for additional proof before acting on it: this is a protection against the deletion of someone else's account.
3. Accounts created with Google, Facebook or Apple
Removing Flopix's access from the security settings of Google, Facebook or Apple prevents you from logging back in this way, but does not delete your Flopix account or the data it contains: it is stored with us, not with them.
To obtain actual erasure, follow route 1 or route 2 above. If you have already removed access and can no longer log in, use route 2.
4. What is deleted
- Your account, your name and your email address.
- Your sites, their content and their files: photos, logo, QR codes.
- Your billing addresses and your affiliate bank details.
- Your messages sent via the contact form.
- Your newsletter subscription.
- The technical identifier transmitted by Google, Facebook or Apple during your logins.
Published sites are removed from the internet and their addresses become available again. QR codes already printed that pointed to them stop working.
5. What is kept, and why
Only one category of data remains after deletion: the accounting records: invoices issued, amounts, billing address. They are kept for 10 years, in accordance with Article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code.
This retention meets a legal obligation within the meaning of Article 17.3.b of the GDPR: it therefore cannot be the subject of an erasure request, including by you. These records are stored separately from the deleted account and are used only for accounting and tax purposes. They serve neither to contact you again, nor for any commercial processing.
6. Complaint
If your request does not succeed within the stated time, or if the response does not satisfy you, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
The details of the data collected, its purposes and its retention periods appear in our privacy policy.
