Connect Your Own Domain Name to Your Website

What it's for

By default, your Flopix site is reachable at an address of the form your-name.flopix.fr. If you already own your own domain name (for example my-business.com), you can point it to your site for a more professional address.

The steps

• Enter the domain name you own in Flopix.
• Sign in to your domain registrar (where you bought it).
• Add the CNAME record that Flopix shows you.
• Go back to Flopix and click "Verify".

The SSL certificate (the https padlock) is installed automatically, with nothing to do on your side.

Good to know

Propagating a domain change can take a few hours. Your .flopix.fr address keeps working in parallel.
