Add an FAQ Section to Your Small Business Website

What it's for

"Do I need a reservation?", "Do you deliver?", "Do you take cards?": you probably answer the same questions several times a week. A frequently asked questions (FAQ) section on your website answers them for you, around the clock. Visitors find the information right away, and you get fewer unnecessary calls.

Bonus: your questions and answers are set up so that Google can show them in its search results.

Step by step

• In your dashboard, open your website, then the Advanced options tile.
• In the "Site content" group, expand the Frequently asked questions (FAQ) card and click Enable.
• Write your first question and its answer. Click + Add a question to add more, up to 8.
• Click Save FAQ: it shows up on your website.

It takes about five minutes. Like every advanced option, the FAQ can be turned on as soon as your website is live (active subscription, free trial included).

Good to know

• A question without an answer is not displayed: you can draft your questions now and finish the answers later.
• You can edit the FAQ anytime from the same card.
• To remove it, click Turn off this option at the bottom of the card. You can turn it back on later.

Tips for a great FAQ

• Start from real questions your customers ask: on the phone, at the counter, by message.
• Keep answers short and specific: two or three sentences are enough.
• Mention your town when it feels natural ("Do you deliver anywhere in Austin?"): it helps local SEO.
• Keep it current: a wrong answer does more harm than no answer.
